Hooray, Yippee

Here's a bunch of happy kids... you can feel their excitement jumping off the card!!
I've used the new big alphabet dies from MFT to give them something to be happy about :)

I can't resist an alphabet die set... and this one is a good size.
I went with a retro colour palette and didn't fuss much with the colouring

Kiwi Lolly

Vellum makes a great Ice Lolly... not so much in real life but definitely
for a fake one on a card and especially when you add some fruit slices
between the layers too....

I couldn't wait to use this Concord & 9th set to make the Kiwi slices...
that seed die is just the cutest!!

To add the white line detail I used an orange slice stamp in the same set
and partially inked it with white pigment ink before stamping and
rotating the image a few times.

Sound the Alarm!!

I was inspired to try a different card design using the Peek-a-Boo
pals car stamp...... it just needed a pop up scene to sit in...

I basically searched on You Tube for a guide to making these floating floor cards and found
them quite simple to do once you've worked out where you want to place the images.

My party-goer is a dinosaur from a coordinating set also from Avery Elle .
I gave him a city backdrop and an inked road to travel along...

Using acetate for the flashing light lines and balloon strings gives
an invisible way to add them.

I chose to make my floating scene a bit short of the base and then added a simple
sentiment with room to add a handwritten one too.

The outside of the card needed a wrap/belly band to help keep it closed so
I used a fun font to add the siren noise to a speech bubble for a simple decoration
to the band... I like the fun, striking colour combo too :)

For the Knitters

Here's a card I made for a friend who loves to knit, I love the cute balls of yarn in
the Sugar pea designs set and I paired them up with a loopy sentiment to make
it look like the sentiment is wool

I find repeating border stamps quite tricky to line up so I devised a method
for this knitting pattern. By stamping the image across my misti
grid paper I can use the dark image either side to align the card base
correctly each time I move it up the Misti

I used the Letter Message Board die from Sugar Pea Designs to make a fridge
magnetfor my friend too...... I think that fact is true for any craft! 😂

The Letter board is such a fun die 😃

Blue Hydrangea

I love Hydrangeas so this gorgeous stamp from Colorado Craft Company's new
Big & Bold range had to come and live with me 😉

It's a BIG stamp and I love that for easy colouring and that off the edge style of image.
I practised my loose water-colouring again having stamped in light purple and green Distress ink.

When I had finished and the image was dry, I put the piece back into my MISTI and re-stamped using a grey pigment ink to give a clearer crisp edge. A simple vellum wrap was all it needed for a sentiment... I have to say I love that sentiment too :)
