So many candles!!

I thought I'd better post this card before I miss the deadline at CASual Fridays and the Lawnscaping Challenge ...I'm rather good at leaving it too late!

I haven't played along with a Lawnscaping challenge for a while now, no reason really, but this week I've an idea organised for the getting texty challenge, so here it is

I've had this text background stamp for a while and the Lawn Fawn 'Bake a Cake' set goes perfectly with it :)
I inked one of the Happy Birthdays in black so I didn't need to worry about a sentiment on the card.
I'm also entering this into the CASual Fridays challenge this week which asks for brown and three shades of a different colour .... I just hope the black and white are acceptable too :)

Over at Young Crafters Unite the challenge is to make an envelope to match so I thought this would be a fun design to try with, here's what I came up with ....

I just masked a strip across the bottom and sponged ink before adding two rows of the text using a stamp positioner and then a row of candles :)
Here they are together

It was great fun to do but I'm not about to decorate all my card's envelopes ..... it depends on the design, although I can imagine it's quite exciting to see a pretty envelope on your doormat amongst the bills!!

Right best get dinner ready for the troop...potatoes don't peel themselves!

Thanks for stopping by X

Jenny
