A Sketchy Note

Morning peeps,

First I'd like to blow my own trumpet and say how excited I am to find that I'm this weeks Colour Queen for this card .... I can't believe a piece of die-cut waste inspired me to make a winning card (squeal with delight)...right put the trumpet away now :)

Now onto This weeks challenge at Less is More and I have to say how impressed I was with last weeks cards by all the Limettes, some of whom made 10 or more, to try and get to the 1000 target...we very nearly made it too, it still must have been a record at 782!!! Mandi and Chrissie did an amazing job commenting on all the cards too, I for one appreciate all the time they put into the challenge blog and I can't imagine they did a lot else last week apart from sleep and eat!

This week is a sketch to follow and I found it quite a tricky box to fill

I had to use my new stamps from Artemio, I'm not a fan of caged birds in real life but they make cute images for cards right? I decided to stamp the cage twice so I could raise it up but felt the background was a little bland until I spritzed it with green cosmic shimmer. The sentiment took the longest to fiddle about with on the computer...trying to match the ink colour is not easy, especially when the monitor doesn't give true colours either!!
Right back to the craft room whilst I have some time to myself :)
Thanks for looking X

Edited to add : I'm on a winning streak at the moment...I've just found out that I've won a set of unity stamps on Alison's blog too.....WHOO HOO...long may it continue :)

  13. Congratulations on those wins Jenny! SO well-deserved! This card is amazing too - I love the lime spritz with the purple image and sentiment. When I use birdcage images I always put the bird outside or on top of the cage because I feel weird putting it inside... I know - it's only a stamp! Vx
