Cheers & Beers

It's another inking for the beer bottle this week for a 60th birthday card, I love
trawling through my alphabet stamps and dies to make up these typography style cards..

Keeping all your alpha stamps and die sets together makes this job a lot easier
then it's just a case of playing around on scrap paper. Having an image helps as a
starting point for sizing and layout.

I'm quite pleased how this card turned out :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Birthday Beer

This is the first time this stamp set has seen ink... and oh boy was it fun to use!
Thanks to the MISTI stamping tool, inking these bottles was a dream,
I love starting with a light shade and then adding deeper colour on certain areas
of the stamp to create shape and shadow..

The other small touch that made me so happy is cutting the bottle tops in
Mirri card... my Dad was quite impressed with them too 😊

I borrowed a sentiment from a different stamp set by the
Colorado Craft Company because I just love that font. Now that's my
idea of a clean and simple guys card 😉

From the Herd!!

I've been playing with a fun new stamp from Stampin Up.... I just knew it was going to have to come and live with me as soon as I saw it!! I mean just look at those faces, and the sentiments to go with it are puntastic too.....

This gang crack me up..... and don't you think the goat has the look of 'Melman' from the Madagascar films??? I couldn't wait to try colouring it although it's quite a detailed image and needs a patient and steady hand I found!!

They look like a prize winning bunch so I turned part of the sentiment into a rosette to go with the photo and mounted it onto a wood effect card base... I can just imagine a picture like this hanging on the farmers wall :0)

Christmas Buttons!!

This weeks challenge at Less is More is to fnd your inner glitz and glamour.... needless to say I had to dig quite deep to find mine!! It would have been easy for me to just add some gemstones but I took a step further and found some long forgotten glitter card  for a rather different use for a Stampin Up punch....

I have literally just got hold of my Stampin Up Mitten punch and straight away wanted to use the mitten topper as custard for a Christmas Pudding..... even better when I found a round button die was the perfect size to use as a pudding :0)

These are just the kind of novelty buttons I love..... not particularily useable but cute :0)
I finished off with a bit of sewing on the button card and card base and then that beautiful ribbon style sentiment from Stampin Up...... which is new as well, couldn't resist them *wink*

I would have loved these buttons on a cardigan in my younger days but now I think they look much better on a card........ no tasteless Christmas knitwear in this house!!! :0)

Thanks for looking
