A quick post for a quick card and also because I'm deeply engrossed in house tidying (not through fun, more like necessity), nothing like a visit from your MIL to help you pull your finger out:)
"This week's One-Layer Wednesday Challenge is to Make It Personal. In other words, make a card for a particular person that is custom designed for him or her".
I almost thought I'd sit this weeks OLW out as I completely drew a blank and then I remembered a set of Badminton rackets and shuttlecock stamps I bought yonks ago (like you do)! I think they were just waiting for me to discover one layer cards as I quite think they suit it, see what you think.......... this is for my Brother-in-law who is an avid badminton player and probably the reason I bought the stamps in the first place, they are from Dimension Fourth who carry a great range of stamps some of which are more unusual ... like badminton equipment! lol
So that's it short and sweet, like the card which is 4" square (my fave one layer size)
Thanks for looking in...back tomorrow with another Paper Smooches card and the last stamp set to giveaway:)
Bye X
Love that textured paper and also the little touches of colour on the rackets and shuttlecocks. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a smashing card Jenny (Oops did you see what I did there?!) and perfect for a badminton playing guy. Your house will be pristine in no time! Thank goodness for MiL visits I say - if mine didn't visit my house would never be clean! Vx
ReplyDeleteGreat card Jenny - believe it or not I've been looking for badminton stamps to make a card for my friends husband this week! Heading to dimension fourth now........
ReplyDeleteDon't think I've ever seen badminton gear on stamps before, never thought to look for it either I suppose. Perfect card for your BIL, and another wonderful CAS, one layer design. Perfect stamping!

ReplyDeleteFab card Jenny, great set of stamps... I've rediscovered quite a few stamps since I started making more CAS/ one-layer cards! Good luck with the cleaning blitz - my MIL never comes here, we always visit her... probably explains why my house is so messy :o) Lisa x

Nicely composed card and, as much as I like color, I adore the lack of color on this design. Bet your brother-in-law will love the card!
