Love Ewe!!

I'm popping by today with a card for the Less is More Challenge blog, Chrissie and the ladies are celebrating the blogs 4th birthday and whilst I don't seem to have time to play along as much as I'd like I wanted to join in for this milestone challenge :0)
As always, the beginning of the month is a colour challenge and this week it's.... PINK & GREY :)

Let me introduce you to Seamus... he's from a new-to-me stamp set by Janes Doodles, he's the cutest sheep around and full of a lot of love too :0) He comes with a few sentiments but I thought, seeing as his arms/legs were outstretched, he could simply hold his own sentiment banner.... I had to cut the heart and letters for him though!!

To make the soft grey background I stamped and masked his white fleecy bits *wink* ...before using a Warm Grey Promarker in the Tim Holtz Spritzer tool... it makes such a soft background which I couldn't achieve with inking.

I'm also popping him in over at CASology this week for the LOVE cue word... gotta love when these challenges just work together :)

Congrats to Chrissie and the DT ladies past and present and here's to many more anniversaries!!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Another Monster card!!

Yep, another monster... although it's more of a dinosaur really :0)
I couldn't resist this stamp set called 'Dino-mite' from Janes Doodles because the dinosaurs
have such cute faces and rounded bodies :0) I had this card idea in my head as
soon as I saw them and finally with the help of the fab
ColourQ palette, I have bought the design to life...

It also follows the sketch#134 at the Paper Players this week too... a few hours
left before closing time there!!

This is actually my brothers birthday card.
He is a leap year baby and, like every three out of four years, he has hijacked the
1st March as his birthday and I am safe to show you this now....although I know he doesn't
look on my blog :0) I thought he'd appreciate the comic style cartoon scene... we both
grew up watching the sort of cartoons this could be a scene from!!

I cut a circle mask to ink the sky using Distress inks and then used the
dienamics cityscape in three shades of blue card for depth. I love using the Distress inks on
diecut shapes....they just bring them to life :0)
I have a homemade version of ink blending tools to show you too. I followed
a tutorial on you tube and I'm quite happy with the result......so much
cheaper than buying the ranger tools. I just need to
get some photos taken and upload them.
I'll include them in another blog post next week :0)

Right that's all from me, it's been quite a busy week here on the blog
thanks for stopping by :0)
