Bean Busy!!

Hi Everyone.......whoa it's been a busy week, you can tell the Easter holidays are coming up because the schools start throwing out appointments and when you take your eye off the crafting ball we all know the mojo goes to sleep too!!!

Well I think mine returned yesterday in a parcel of Paper Smooches stamps because I made a card for Less is More this week which is to use 'Masking' on your card...

This cute jelly bean is from the Spring Fling set and with that sentiment I just had to have a go at masking a few and shading them to make them look 3D :0)
Sorry for the fuzziness of the photo ...I think that's white card photography for you!

I just want to take this opportunity to let you know that Emily at Make the Day Special is the only UK stockist of Paper Smooches and Lawn Fawn stamps and she has just added the latest releases from both companies to her site as well as carrying lots of other overseas Stamp companies products too....I have no connection with Make the Day Special, just passing on the good news but I'm not taking responsibility for any spending sprees ....Lol :0)

This gorgeous weather we've been having here in the East has certainly bought the birds and flowers out in there springtime glory. Yesterday was my regular volunteering stint at the local RSPB reserve where we get our hands dirty outside doing all types of manual jobs around the reserve and yesterday we were repairing a flight of steps on one of the trails

Its great fun being out in the fresh air and making a difference you can see...not to mention the coffee breaks in the sunshine and listening to the birds singing :0)

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my Mothers Day post, James was impressed to see his card and gift on my blog and to see your messages :0)

Well, I have lots to do whilst the kiddos are at school so best get cracking and hope to catch up later :0)
Thanks for your visit....so pleased you popped by
Jenny x

  11. The difference between you and me Jenny is that you have loads of patience (and you're tall and very talented but we won't go into that...!) Such a great result for what must have been quite a task - the shading is great too. Vicky x

  25. Simply love these jellybeans - the shading is amazing! I just placed my first PS order & am anxiously awaiting it. I hate having to wait after ordering stuff...no patience for me! I love the bright ribbon and that bit of striped paper poking out behind is a great accent without overwhelming ALL THE JELLYBEANS!
Love that you're out enjoying the weather, too - and I hear you on schools. Right now both are playing duck & cover with me...angry MAMA BEAR is going to have to come out soon, I think. Grrr. So glad that James got a kick out of all his comments :) Tell him hello from me!

As a keen RSPB member, thank you for all you do on reserves. It does not go unnoticed! My husband's uncle volunteers on a reserve in Merseyside so I often get to hear stories of what he's been up to, and it was really nice to see a photo of your handiwork!

  43. Hi Jenny

I'm the Acting Deputy Editor on Papercraft Inspirations magazine, which hopefully you know and which is Britain's best-selling papercraft and card-making magazine with over 32,000 readers each month, including a growing number overseas.

In each issue of the magazine I put together a two-page gallery of wonderful, inspirational cards that I've spotted on blogs from around the world, and in our June 2012 issue I'd love to feature your jellybean card which I think is just fab! Would you like the card to be featured in our magazine?

As well as writing about your card and giving your blog address, we would also put a link to your own blog from our website. Our website is http://papercraftinspirations.themakingspot.com

All I would need from you is confirmation that you'd like your card to be featured, and a high resolution image of the card which is suitable for print quality - this can simply be sent as an attachment to an email. The photo that you posted on your blog would almost certainly be ideal, there's no need to take a new one.

I look forward very much to hearing from you and hope that we'll be able to showcase your wonderful card to inspire our card-makers!

    Very best wishes
