Seeing as the challenge ends tomorrow it's fair to say that I took a while to come up with this design and I'm pleased with it apart from the sentiment.... I know, I know I always moan about the sentiment but they give me such trouble! I either don't plan for it or it doesn't stamp well... I should have known white on black would be a pain in the butt too! It says 'Love You'...not sure what the squiggle is at the end :)
So there you have it my first fashion inspired card..... says the girl who's more at home in jeans and a fleece...Lol
Hope you like it too, thanks for looking :)
Jenny x
I so see the peep toe shoe in your design, how very clever! I love this design!

ReplyDeleteDude - you SO rocked this! The peep toe chevrons are BRILLIANT!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous card. love your use of negative die and the black chevron paper.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the challenge--chevrons and peep toe shoes. I like the sentiment. It seemed kind of dashing and cavalier. Didn't look smudged, until you mentioned it! Looks like I missed this one this week--that class is having me running!
ReplyDeleteJust FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteLove the modern design! Great take on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Great take on the challenge Jenny!
ReplyDeleteTks for your kind comments! Appreciate it! :) Hope you had a good break during the holidays too! We had relatives over and were 25 people at home! :D
Jenny, when it comes to clever ideas, I think you are the cleverest stamper I know. Seriously. This card is amazing. I love it!!!

Love Jules xx
love your take on it jenny, especially the peek-a-boo! you should definitely do more!
ReplyDeleteFabulous design work on the beautiful card. I have trouble with sentiments too. Hard to believe you do - your cards are always perfect.
ReplyDeleteI've watched the challenge too and have yet to give it a go. Well done on dipping you "peep" toe in! You've come up with a fabulous design. x
ReplyDeleteThe peep toe is inspired! I was going to play in this one too but tried to make my own chevrons and failed miserably!
ReplyDeleteI find the only way to do white on black is to emboss the white.

Very cool indeed .... love the peep toe inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHahaha ... I can totally relate to the sentiment troubles, I never plan for them and then I spend hours trying to place them .... aaagh!
I don't think I remember the last time I wore something other than jeans or pajamas...probably long enough that it doesn't fit anymore :) Just because we don't wear 'fashion' doesn't mean we can't ogle it though, good thing :)
ReplyDeleteLove the peep-toe chevrons - brilliant! - and I like your sentiment, so there ;) We're our own harshest critics always!
I love your design Jinny! So fun and classy! I fight with my white ink all the time...I get it EVERYWHERE!

ReplyDeleteYour wonderful creativity inspired me to join in this challenge!! Love your windowed chevrons...black and white is sooo cool!! Like you, I am a jeans and tee shirt kind of girl(the only dress I've worn in the last 6 years or more, is a dress to my Hannah's wedding, and even THAT I fought...lol!!!)
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cool Jenny!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card for a guy Jenny, perfect celeb lines and wonderful inspiration from the fan picture!
ReplyDeleteHah! Using my phone to comment as I have no Internet grr! Please excuse the typos, it should say 'clean lines' not celeb, and fab picture not fan! X
ReplyDeleteWell it all looks pretty gorgeous to me! A fab interpretation of the inspiration pic. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, It's wonderful, you're always so hard on yourself:0) Great take on the inspiration the recessed chevrons are gorgeous and the sentiment looks fine! Often you will see sentiments layered on my cards 'cos I don't stamp it perfectly, secret's out LOL I have a feeling the sqiggle at the end is a heart, flamboyant stylised writing, love it :0)That is one of my favourite sentiments sets. Happy crafting, hugs Gay xxx
ReplyDeleteA super interpretation Jenny! I love the chevrons peeping out :) Sarah xx
ReplyDeleteJenny - it's fabulous! I think you've really captured the inspiration photo and the sentiment is fine!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny!!!! I am with you on the jeans and a fleece. I just LOVE your take on the inspiration photo. Those shoes hurt me just to look at them! Love, love your open toe!!! Leave it to you to come up with something so clever! BTW, PTI white ink is fabulous. I'm just sayin'...
