Party like a Pachyderm!!

Here's my card over at Make the Day Special Stamp Store blog, I've been playing with the fun set from Lil Inkers called Party Pachyderms. There seems to be a noticeable elephant trend at the moment in stamping but this set stands out with it's fun images which are solid so no colouring either :)

I love all the extra elements in the set too.... balancing those presents on his back legs just had to be done and then a fun sentiment from Waffleflower says it all :)

It just so happens that Lil' Inkers are having a Monthly Meet up challenge this week so I'll pop this clever elephant in over there.... I also see that Laura now has dies to match this set too so I'll have to pop them on my need wishlist now ;)

Paper Smooches Sparks - Picture Perfect challenge

It's a Sunday so that means a new challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks.. seriously, how fast do these weeks go by!! We have an inspiration photo for you this week and it has plenty of scope to get your crafty ideas churning :)

I just adore that table top, so much texture and I love all the colours and patterns in the wood too. I have gone quite literal with my interpretation and built my own background pattern to mirror the table top...

Using four different coloured inks I have repeatedly stamped the chevron pattern from the Geobasics stamp set... the teardrop shape inkpads make quite fun patterns on the stamp which add to the faux wood effect :)
The coffee mug is cut using the Coffee & tea dies and I've inlaid a couple of beans and 'glossied' them up too!!
Sentiment is from Cyber cafe... it's quite a simple design and all lovely neutral shades which I love :)

Here are the links to my teamies playing along this week

Alice,  Lisa,  Erin,  Jenny,  Savannah

All the challenge details can be found over at the Sparks blog, we hope to see you in the gallery ...... and just to let you know, if you live in the UK you can find Paper Smooches stamps & dies at Make the Day Special Stamp Store :)

Leaping Lions!!

I'm popping by to share this CAS card made with Reverse Confetti's Leaping Lions stamp set....how cute is this little guy??

I just knew I had to paper piece this little lion.... he has a 'homemade toy' feel to him so I scrabbled around in my PP scraps for material inspired patterns and textures and kept the colours muted because that seemed to wotrk best :)

This card is actually for the new challenge over at Make the Day Special Stamp Store. This month we have a sketch challenge and you can find more details and inspiration from the DT here :)
