Super Duper

I love the comic book style... I think it's the bright colours and black outlines with a sketched style, anyhow I seem to have a good collection of stamps and they make great cards for guys and youngsters too.

I paired this Tiny Hero with a balloon, she looks like she could be holding one, it's also a place for an extra message or number if required 😊. I got creative with the  Bam Bubble die and made a stencil which led me to make this cool drop shadow effect, not what I set out to do but pretty pleased with the result 😏

.... and in case you need a 'boy' super hero that's flying through the air, I made a few small alterations to the image and voila....

I made the skirt into shorts and didn't ink up the parting in her hair or ponytail and what's cool is that you can still use the die and just cut off the excess .... result 😉

A New Home Card

We're a couple of weeks into the month already but you still have time to join in the April challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts... this time we have a sketch for you and this is my take on it using some of the recent New Home dies from MFT...

Apologies for the harsh light in the photo, I was trying to capture the detail in the white on white background!! As you can see from the sketch below, I changed up the centre shape and added some brick work texture with a stencil, then used the fence in place of the diagonal stripes.

Those little house dienamics are just adorable to build up and are the perfect size as a keyring too.

Here's the sketch if you'd like to join us in the gallery, all the details can be found here :)

A Canine Gang

You know when sometimes you need a special card that requires you to go outside your
normal boundaries?? Well this is one of those, not very CAS and needing a background scene...

One of my friends who is a dog groomer, and all round dog lover, has decided to hang up her clippers to pursue other interests and I wanted to send her a card..... so although some of these hounds wouldn't need a trim, I had to include them all!!

It had to be a long, narrow card and they needed a scene to hang around in so I used a wall stencil to trace through and drew a wooden plank fence. I coloured the dogs and scenery with Polychrome pencils then trimmed the dogs out with scissors and arranged them on my card.

It was great fun thinking about the colours and markings... my favourite is the brindle chap in the centre although the black and tan Chihuahua is a cutie too :)

Baby Dragons

Hi There :)
Just popping by to share this New Baby card... yep not exactly your usual baby themed
images but these two dragons are certainly cute enough for the job :)

I inked a mountainous scene for them on a die cut circle and used the lovely scripty Welcome die from Paper Smooches..... it has a perfect gentle curve to match the circular scene :)

It's something a bit different and I love this simple CAS design too :)
