I'm still playing catch up sharing my DT projects and these two cards use two different techniques with the same stamp set :) I've already said how much I love the Dawn Machell stamps from Reverse Confetti so I had to get the newest piggy set.... this sentiment is just as cute as the piggy itself...
I wanted to use the no-line colouring technique using distress inks as watercolours.... love how it turned out :) Rather than leave the card base blank I used a bunting die from Avery Elle to make a tone on tone effect pattern :)
The second card is another favourite technique.... paper piecing :)
It's some fiddly cutting, but I do like the fabric effect if you use patterned paper and it totally suits the style of images too :)
I used a few extra stamps from Weather it Together to add a sun, cloud and a muddy puddle... just what a piggy likes :)

Both pig versions are so cute Jenny, love the way you created the tone on tone banner background too!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally making me want this stamp set!! Your no-line coloring on the first card is gorgeous! That's one technique I haven't been brave enough to try yet. And your second card? You know I love me some paper piecing! You picked the perfect papers for those little piggies!
