I'm playing catch up to let you know about the new challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts for the month of March. We have a sketch this time around which has a lot of scope for interpretation...
I have to admit that Mr Mojo was absent when I made my card and I went for a fairly literal copy of the sketch...
I used the MFT Balloon Strings background on its side to make a wavy ocean and then cut slits along the lines to allow the critters to pop their heads through the water... in hindsight I'm wondering if I should have gone for the more traditional blue ocean and embossed the lines in white!! Hmm the jury's still out on that one!

Monday was my brothers birthday.. yep, he's a leap year baby and this year was the big 40 so I had to make him a 
This is Nacho and on the packaging he's coloured brown but my brothers little dog is a black and white terrier x so I went for the caricature style image.... I thought that expression was perfect for his card too ;)
and here's the inside... just to make him feel better ;)

ReplyDeleteYour lack of mojo worked well me thinks! the first card is fabulous. The second is creative and your colouring is wonderful, I have to "remind" my son he is 40 later this year LOL. May pinch your idea, if I remember it!
