Guest Designing at CASology

Hi there :)

This is my second blog post today, if you are here for the "You are Amazing" blog hop card please scroll down :)

I have the honour of guesting with the lovely ladies over at CASology for their new challenge this week and the cue word is ADORE...

Now I'm not the 'gushing romantic' sort so I wasn't sure how this was going to go but I think I struck a good compromise with this card...

I'm so happy I got round to inking up this Art Impressions stamp, its actually meant to be used as a spinner card so I love that you can get double duty from it. To follow the CAS rules for the challenge I decided to frame just part of the image and then use a circular greeting to hug that aperture too :)

Thanks to the team at CASology for having me join them and I look forward to seeing the gallery fill with ADORE-able cards :)

Stamps used:
Love Spinner Stamp- Art Impressions
Circle Sayings- Simon Says Stamp

"You are Amazing" Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to our little blog hop here at Seven Hills Crafts, myself and the rest of the DT gals wanted to show how much we support and appreciate our friend and store owner, Tara.
Both herself and hubby Rick have had the huge task of relaunching the new Seven Hills Crafts shop website and blog which has meant long hours of sitting at a computer and uploading stock plus many more 'techy' things that I wouldn't have even realised needed doing!! This hop is our way of saying Whoo Hoo and Well done.. You are Amazing :)

So here's my card that is currently on it's way to Tara and Rick :)

I took inspiration from our fresh new shop logo and used the perfectly dinky little ants from Mama Elephants Small Talk set. The top box shows an ant version of Tara and Rick and we (the DT) are in the bottom box... I know what you're thinking... why?.... the answer is not really sure how the thought process went but perhaps those fun sentiments from Lil'inkers I'm All You're All had something to do with it :)

Next stop along the blog hop is the fun and talented Jill, I can't wait to see what each member of the team has made. The full hop list can be found over at the store blog here.

I hope you enjoy hopping with us and help us celebrate the launch of Seven Hills Crafts :)

A Birthday Feast

Hi there :)

I'm following up my Pizza card from last week with some more foody goodness over at the Seven Hills Crafts Blog today. I've used Lawn Fawns Pizza my Heart and Lets BBQ to make a fun generic birthday card that would be good for a guy :)

The 'A' shaped slice of pizza sparked this idea and because Lawn Fawn sets are so interchangeable, it was easy to find some images from Lets BBQ to play with too. The letters are Quinns ABC's ... they are a great size to work alongside the foody stamps :)

To jazz up the background I used a faux fabric embossing folder by Cuttlebug to make an imitation tablecloth... I love the pop of colour from all the images against the texture :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Love n' Pizza

Yay :) Thanks to the ladies, especially Diedre, over at CASology for choosing my card as a winner.

It's my first post on the shiny new blog at Seven Hills Crafts today and I've used some new stash too :)

The Pizza my Heart set from Lawn Fawn was just to cute to resist and I also knew just what I wanted to do to make that pizza box interactive too...

I used a craft knife and ruler to cut three sides so the box could open upwards and out pops a heart shaped pizza... not the conventional way to present them in a box but for the purpose of an interactive card this is fine :)

Here's a behind the scenes view to show how I attached the pizza to the back of the box lid and spaced the dimensional foam around the moving pieces :)

My daughter has claimed this to send to her boyfriend on Valentines day.... it's such a great set for the young and in love... ahhhh :)

I'm entering this into the Clean & Simple Valentines challenge over at The Paper Players blog and CASology where the challenge is OPEN... and that is just what the box does :)

A New Year, A New Name and a A New Challenge

Hi there and a Happy New Year to you.... I still think I'm in the time frame to say it ;) and what about the New Name and New challenge I hear you say??!! Well over the Christmas period Make the Day Special Stamp Store changed it's name to Seven Hills Crafts and relaunched yesterday with a brand new shiny website to go with it :)

Tara has done an amazing job and spent countless hours in front of a computer screen over the holidays to get the shop open again .... do pop by and have a browse and please be sure to sign up to the new store blog as well, you can find it here :)

Now to the new Challenge... it's our usual monthly challenge but we've got off to a later start this month and we have a colour theme for you...

I went with the middle palette and used the oh so cute set from Lil'inkers called So Prickly...

This set is adorable.... cacti with faces, arms and legs, how could it not be?!
I got it just before Christmas so couldn't resist getting it inky with a bit of masking and stamping :) I'm going to pop it into the Something New challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

All the details for the colour challenge and the linky tool can be found here.... we hope you join us in our first challenge of 2016 ... hope to see you in the gallery :)
