Stamping Contrasts- Winter Wonderland

Oh my goodness!! Time has flown recently and I've been quite busy....  but I'm here today with a Christmas card, no I'm not crazy, I know time hasnt flown that much either... Lol :)

Over at Make the Day Special Stamp Store blog this week we have something a little different - the DT have paired up each day this week and we're bringing you two projects both made with the same stamp set but with a contrast to the stamping. It kicked off yesterday with Masculine V's Feminine and today it's Julia and myself's turn with Christmas V's Non Christmas and we chose Mama Elephants Winter Wonderland stamp set.....

I didnt relish the thought of making a Christmas card in the spring but this stamp set has just a hint of seasonal magic so it wasn't such a task :) I sponged a winters sky onto a masked area of the card base and then stamped the trees. I wanted the deer to be walking into the scene so I stamped and partially cut the deer on a separate panel and sponged blue ink at its feet to continue the scene. I always have to add shading to this beautiful deer, my OCD for detail wont let it be a silhouette ..Lol.

You'll have to hop over and see Julis'a amazing Non- Christmas card made using this same stamp set.. I really couldn't wait to see which way she went with the stamps and, yup, she rocked it with a rainbow *hint hint*

We have an inlinkz tool on each days blog post if you'd like to join us in some stamping contrasts of your own... hop over here and read all the details on how to play along,  Tara even mentioned a PRIZE too :)

  1. I struggle making Chrissy cards at Christmas let alone make them now, I envy those who make them all year long that would really take the pressure off... but even with best intentions, it's not me, yet lol. Love your sweet scene BTW, this set has been in and out of my basket so many times... maybe it might stay in next time.

  3. Love your card, Jenny! Especially the ground on which the deer is standing and how it stretches across the panels. Simply gorgeous!
