I'm sharing both these cards on my DT blog post today over at Make the Day Special Stamp Store and they were inspired by a few challenges out there in blogland at the moment so I best get them entered.
My first card is for Colour Me, which has a gorgeous pallette this week and just look at the graphic to go with it...Yum!!! It also follows the sketch at Retro Sketches this week too...

I used distress inks to colour these... they are fast becoming my favourite way of watercolouring because they are so forgiving :)
My next project is for the Monochrome challenge at CASology....apologies if you don't like the colour green!!...Lol
Not as happy with this but it's okay... tried using proper watercolours and there's definitely a difference in the way you use them!! Love the vellum sentiment strip though, it softens the edge between the florals and the block of colour :)

Well that's all from me... need to get the washing out whilst the sun is shining and before the showers arrive later!!

ReplyDeleteI do like green, so I adore your Mother's Day card. Love your watercoloring and the way you did your sentiment on Vellum. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are sooo beautiful, Jenny! I really need to get my hands on some distress inks and give them a whirl. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Colour Me!
ReplyDeleteThese are both such lovely cards, Jenny ... the depth you've created on those gorgeous blooms (of all colours!) is fabulous! Anita :)

ReplyDeleteAll that artsy goodness, both cards are incredible Jenny!
ReplyDeleteLove the water colouring on these, Jenny! The florals look fantastic. The vellum strip and design on your green card is so effective :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny! Yes, I am totally, wholly and completely DONE with the snow and the COLD. It was -7 today when I took the boys to the bus so they would not freeze! Your cards are both gorgeous. Your water coloring is just so wonderful, and the images look so lovely as you have laid them out and given them color. Beautiful work, as always.
ReplyDeletefrais et charmant Jenny, plein de poésie, biz
ReplyDeleteBeauties Jenny.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful Jenny! Thank you for sharing at CASology!
ReplyDeleteThese are really beautiful cards. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI saw your flower card over at Colour Me and instantly fell in love. So gorgeous! I haven't tried watercolouring with Distress Inks - maybe I'll have better luck with them. Do you use the reindeers or just the ink pads?
