Hearts and Sunshine

It's my turn to share a card over at Make the Day Special today and I've used the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge to kick start my mojo.... this week is a 'photo inspiration' of a rather posh looking cake ..

.... those yellow dots and grey roses somehow translated into sun-rays and clouds to me!!!
It's the first time I've used the PS cloud dies and I have to say how adorable they are... I'm loving how you can change up the colours of the border and inside of the shapes :0)

Seeing as I'm entering a challenge it would be rude to not create for a couple of others too, especially as my mojo was playing along nicely!!
It's One Layer Cards at Less is More this week...heavens above, it's ages since I played along there and this time around the theme is Hearts. A new one to me is Clearly Besotted's challenge..... 'Love' is the order of the day there, a perfect match for 'Hearts' I think and a good excuse to give some uninked stamps some love :0)

It was really difficult to do but I left the sofa un-coloured... just so those flocked heart cushions could have pride of place...eeeek!!! :0)
I'm a tad annoyed the sofa shows through the right hand cushion.... oh well, at least it proves it is one layer!!!

Two cards, three challenges... wow that feels good, thanks for visiting me today :0)

  1. Those clouds really are cool. I haven't used mine much (surprise surprise!) but I want to try and get bold and use them with some crazy colors. New year, new experiments! Loving that sweet sofa card to. I know what you mean about it being hard not to colour the sofa but it's so worth it!

  3. What a fabulous take on the inspiration photo, Jenny ... I drew a complete blank on it! The grey cloud with the white outline is so cool! Now, your uncoloured sofa with red heart flock cushions ... swoon ... uber CAS ... love it! Anita :)

  5. LOVE your interpretation of the PS inspiration photo - just perfect. You know I love the way things morph inside that wonderful brain of yours... love the couch and totally get that the line under the heart bothers you. The card is fabulous nonetheless. Love that the couch is just a black outline, and those red heart cushions just POP right out. Love.

  7. You're so funny, Jenny, and SO creative! I LOVE that sofa uncolored so the red hearts really POP! (No one notices the see-through one except you!) But the card that really stole my love today is the get well card. Sigh. Can you imagine getting that in the mail when you didn't feel good? INSTANT feel better!! Hugs, Darnell

  8. Fun to see you posting again. Love that sofa with the hearts. It is so dramatic, the way you left the sofa plain, but it really does emphasize the hearts.

  10. Loving those clouds and to be honest I wouldn't have seen the 'cushion' dilemma except that you mentioned it... may have something to do with the small amount of wine ingested (wink)!

  20. Hi Jenny! Somehow I've managed to miss your January posts and assumed you were having an extended Christmas break! Loving your Christmas show and tells and these two cards are fabulous. The stylised clouds are gorgeous and I love the different colours too. I can certainly see the link with the inspiration photo (although only you could have come up with this!) Love the gorgeously CAS sofa with its flocked cushions too. Vicky x
