I see over at Less is More, Mandi and Chrissie are injecting a bit of sunshine into blogland with a colour challenge this week, wanting us to use yellow.... mmm lovely colour but not one I have much around the house especially not to be found in my wardrobe!
I took inspiration from Mandi's card and went with a splash of yellow instead....
I was holding my breath when stamping out those pencils and sticking my tongue out too with concentration no doubt :0) Lol
I used a stamp set from a Hero Arts set called 'Just a Note' which I picked up at Ally Pally a few weeks back and because the pencil is paper pieced I'm entering it into Young Crafters Unite challenge too which is 'No colouring allowed'
We had a busy weekend which included James going out for a family meal to celebrate his friends 19th birthday. His friend goes to the same school so his Mum is well used to looking after children on the Autistic Spectrum and James wanted to be grown up and went without me :0)
He had a great time and sounds like he was the entertainment at the table.... especially when he asked his friends Grandpa, who is bald on top but not at the sides, why his hair had slipped down???
A perfectly reasonable observation I suppose.... you just got to love his innocence sometimes :0)
Thanks for stopping by
Jenny x

I wondered when Blogger would strike you from my reader again...first time since the update, so it took longer than I suspected! There's 4 of you in that lump. Grrrr!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you keep feeling better - at least the weather matched so you weren't missing out on much? Blech. Love the amazing pencils! I can just picture you working with tongue stuck out! I always bite my lip :)
And James is hilarious! It sounds as though they thought so too, to remember to tell you about the hair slipping...valid question ;) Connor scripts a lot, and keeps asking his dad if he's bald or thinning. It's a very shiny scalp through that sparse hair ;)
Well happy belated to your FAB boy:)
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing...just the perfect splash of yellow!
Fab card Jenny, love that yellow pencil as a stand out, cool card and fabulous stamping!
ReplyDeleteYou did really well lining up & stamping those pencils Jenny - a stunning card! p.s. I get all my Unity / Lawn Fawn / My Cute stamps from you - thanks for helping me avoid those pesky custom charges lol x
