It's the first of December so no doubt James will be bouncing out of bed this morning to see Hannah open the first door of the advent calendar... he has given her the odd numbers so he gets the largest chocolate on Christmas eve, crafty little monkey :)
(sorry about photo, I need to re-think the settings on my camera!)
The falling snow is a stamp I've had for years and is nameless but is extremely useful, the sentiment is by PTI, oh and of course frosted lace stickles to give that sparkle in the snow :)
Last weekend Tara sold a lot of your wonderful cards at a local craft fair and raised an extra £152 to add to the money raised so far which now totals £487, so thank you so much for donating your time and cards for this worthy cause, please join in this month too and continue to send them in... you could be the lucky winner of Decembers prize, kindly donated by fellow DT member, Deborah, which is this set of Dainty Doilies stamps from Waltzing Mouse....yummy or what???
Thanks for visiting me, I'm going to hopefully make a start on the Christmas shopping today.... the first trip is never successful !!

Jenny - this is a TOTAL knockout - I have this die now after seeing your previous use of it and I can see it was a good decision. I love how you've coloured the little houses and added the snow - it's super cute - works so well as a tri-fold.

Jenny, This is an absolute beauty! I love the landscapes!
ReplyDeletewow, this is amazing. double wow!!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! What a beautiful winter scene!
ReplyDeleteWow! This card is amazing! Well, if I thought I would ever have a chance to buy this die, I can forget it now. I'm waiting for it to return to stock, and I do truly wish you would stop making even more people want it (tee hee). On a related note, if you are working on commission, Jo-Ann's probably owes you about 50 cents (pence?) for the Penny Black Happy Birthday eye chart stamp I bought when I saw how you used it a couple of weeks ago. I just checked out your charity challenge, and it looks like such a good cause. Do you think that if I made some cards in the next week and sent them from California, you would get them in time to sell them? How long does it stay cold and snowy in Sheffield?
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Jenny. Brilliant use of the die and I love all that sparkly snow. I've been seeing Memory Box dies on so many cards lately.
ReplyDeleteMy kids have been eagerly awaiting the first of December, also. They know those advent calendars contain chocolate! Ann

Jenny, this card is beautiful. Even my hubby (who grunts at most of my cards, or gives me a small "yeah, that's nice") has said "Wow!" You are amazing with this die. I would never have chosen it by myself, but now I want it, oh no!
ReplyDeleteTo answer you question about the fig - that is roots. This fig is a strangler fig and it sends down roots from along the branches. It also has large buttress roots at the base of the trunk. I'll take another walk around Brisbane and get some better photos of Moreton Bay Figs to show, they're really interesting trees to look at. And, yes, when they get to that size, they ARE really old. :-)
this is lovely Jenny. those MB dies are amazing and i love what you do with them! so creative...beautiful card.
