Back to CAS

Well what happened there then ..... I blinked and a week went by! I haven't been cleaning and tidying the house all week, that would mean we live in a mansion!!......far from it:)  Just busy with no time to craft and oh boy have I missed it so without further ado here's my card for this post :)

I couldn't not help Mandi and Chrissie get to 1000 entries on Less is More this week so this is my drop in the ever growing ocean! Please pop over and join us this week, the theme is anything goes as long as it's CAS .... lets get to 1000 entries, I will be back with more :)
CASual Fridays are wanting mini cards this week so being 4" square, this fits nicely too...

and finally the challenge at wee memories this week is no patterned paper, which I have lots of but hardly use, and this fits the bill here too :)

The branch is a Memory Box die and the tree ornaments are a cheapy stamp set by Kars from Hobbycraft. I'm pleased with the scratchy effect on the background...it's my new stamp from Stampin Up, I managed to find one despite it being sold out on the last chance list ... thanks Vicky :)

Whilst I've been AWOL I have received some blog candy from the lovely Lynn, won some more blog candy today from the super cool  Jen W and received this lovely card from the talented Stephanie .....
aren't I a lucky girl :)

We have finally got our laptop back again from laptop hospital after needing it's graphic card re-baled ( like I know what that means! ) but here's a word of warning ...... don't use a potentially embarrassing photo as your desktop background ! We did, and of course this is what the technicians would have seen when they got the laptop up and running again .....

...ok stop laughing, this was a mini photo booth session for a photography course Hannah did a few months ago and it was quite fun to do :) James didn't want to look at the camera and my sister in law ( wearing antlers ) was a good sport too and yes that's me giving the donkey evils :)
The guy in the computer shop thinks we are completely crazy and of course he's not far wrong!!!!!

Hope that's made you smile anyway, thanks for looking and it's good to be back X

Something that Moves

I finally got round to making my Less is More card, I haven't missed a week since I joined on week two and didn't want to falter now!

This weeks theme is
 Things That Move
which could be an actual moving component
or an image of something that moves.

Given more time I would have loved to try and make a slider or pop up card but seeing as we are at the end of the week now I've opted for an image of a scooter .... a Spiffy Scooter to be precise ....

This Paper Smooches set has not had much use yet and is perfect for a moving object as well as fitting with a couple of other challenges too :)
The Polaroid frame is from a Lawn fawn set called 'Say Cheese' and I decided to distress and ink the edges to give an aged appearance, the sentiment is from a different LF set called 'Cruising Through Life' .... who'd have guessed???

Oh and by the way I promised to let you know when Emily at Make The Day Special had Paper Smooches in stock, well she has now and is also waiting for the newest Lawn Fawn stamp sets too .... it's so good to be able to buy these fab stamp sets over here now :)

I'm also entering this card into the Wee Memories challenge #64 as they require a Masculine card and I reckon this could make a good valentines or anniversary card for a guy????

..... and with some amazing planning and fore thought this also fits nicely in with the travel theme over at The Paper Variety too!

.... oh and The Paper Variety are having their first birthday celebrations starting on the 7th September with lots of giveaways and competitions so pop over here and find out what it's all about .... you might even spot Hannah, she's on the design team :)

Save the date!

You are in with a chance of winning a prize just by displaying this blinkie on your side bar and spreading the word, go grab it from this post here.

I have not had a chance to visit all the other Limettes blogs yet but I will get round to that later today .... still playing catch-up after our weekend away :)

Cheerio and thanks for looking X
