Dotty or Spotty?

When does a dot become a spot? I have no idea but I do like polka dots so the challenge at Less is More this week is right up my street! We have to include them on our card and keep it a clean and simple design.

I've also been meaning to play along with the pretty inspiration photo board at Jay Gees Nook this month so here goes both challenges together...

I love the picture of the sofa on the inspiration board because the soft pastel cushions look amazing against the neutral material ..... needless to say it wouldn't stay that colour in our house!!
I've used a digi image, papers and sentiment on this card, the only stamp is the a.muse oval, I thought the chair looked cosy enough for a get well soon card :)

I'm also entering this into the 'Free for All' challenge at Wee Memories this week

So it's half term this week although Hannah has arranged a weeks work experience in London so I'm still up at the crack of dawn making packed lunches and surprisingly so was James this morning too!!! Typical I have to drag him out of bed school mornings but when he can lay in he's up and as bright as a button!......it's going to be a long day until the workers return home :)

Thanks for looking X

A piece of Autumn

Hello fellow crafter's
.... sorry for the absence, life just got busy despite James starting school mid week. I have been running about with Hannah getting tasks done before she goes back to Sixth Form on Monday so no crafting has taken place until yesterday evening!

I made this card for CASual Fridays this week who are wanting a fall card that has been paper-pieced. Now this just coincides with the arrival of my new PTI stamp and die set called Autumn Acorns so I had to use it straight away

I just love the rustic feel of Autumn in general and I wanted to use my new Grapevine Wreath die from Memory Box to make an autumnal wreath .... I would love to hang something like this on my door :)
The background has had the wood-grain IP treatment and the twine is jute that I've wrapped around the wreath.
The card is only 4" square, I just fancied trying a smaller card again :)

I also wanted to show you a card I made for my blog buddy Emily who has just moved house at the beginning of the month. I know she has received it so I can show you now :)

Emily has a mini challenge going on over at her blog whilst they settle into there new home, pop over and see the details :)

So let's see when Mr Blogger decides to acknowledge my post publication today.... I've noticed that he seems to be messing other bloggers about too!

Another Fruity Moment!

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with another card for Less is More because my "Fruitastic" Paper Smooches stamps arrived today and I just couldn't pass up the chance of using them, they are perfect for this challenge .....

(please click on the picture, blogger has made it blurry)

..... I love how the apple looks like he's the spokesman of the group so I decided to give him a speech bubble for the sentiment which is made from a Die-namics die and stamp set !
These stamps are so cute, here is the whole set...
as you can see the fruity possibilities are endless depending on the colours you use !
I have been asked about buying the PS stamps. I do order mine from the US, and if you only order one set at a time they avoid customs charges and the P+P is very reasonable. Kim has just branched into selling her stamps wholesale so I'm sure it wont be long before a UK supplier sells them ... I'll keep you posted :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the pictures of the mutt in my last post, I haven't told him how cute you all think he is as he will probably want his own "Dog Blog" !!!  Perhaps when he catches one of those pesky moles he can :)

That's all for now, I'm loving all the cards on the LIM blog this week especially , there's some really inventive fruit making going on using punches and shapes you'd never think of using!

Thanks for looking, hope you liked it  X
