Re-launching a Stamp Store with a Flourish!!!

Hello there :0)

I'm going to start this blog post with the great news that Make the Day Special stamp store has re-opened it's doors, you can click here to have a browse round the stamp and dies for sale including a brand new company to these shores...Newton's Nook!! There are also new stamps from Wplus9 and Avery Elle alongside re-stocks of old favourites with many more companies in the pipeline :0)
Do you like the stores new graphics?? I want to wish Tara every success in her new venture, she's certainly making a great start :0)

Before you hop over for some retail therapy, I'd love to share with you my projects for the store blog ... the DT are showcasing a different Flourishes stamp set each day this week. Unfortunately the company have ceased their wholesale programme so no new lines will be coming to the Make the Day Special, by using the code FLOURISH25 at the checkout you will be able to buy any remaining Flourishes stock with 25% off .. another reason to stop by and have a browse :0)

I've been having some fun playing with Garden Fresh to alter this plain MDF clipboard..

                                                            Garden Fresh

Because I only had one chance at this, I cut the grid paper to size, stamped and watercoloured the images before glueing it to the board *wink*..... Surprise surprise , it turned out really well and the patterned paper took the watercolouring well although I did try to use the least amount of water possible.
I love the botanical style of print and they lend themselves well to home decor projects. the whole piece is sealed with Studio Matte Medium to protect it from water and damage...as always it looks much better IRL and it's going to look good in my kitchen :0)

I also wanted to try the images on Sticky back canvas and use Distress paints for colour...
...and how about a card??... I thought the images might look good in the chalkboard style so I went for a card suitable as a Valentines for a greenfingered guy or girl...
So something a little different from me today and it was good to, quite literally, put my stamp on that plain looking clipboard... I've had it ages with all good intentions and this set gave me the inspiration, they are really quite versatile so do take a moment to check them out :0)

Thanks for stopping by
Jenny x
