Not Feline Well?

I realised the other day that I haven't used my Inktense pencils for a 

while so I had to rectify that. I dug out an unloved stamp set to match the unloved

 pencils and stamped out this cute scene.....

I started with a big ginger cat and a dark purple chair then grabbed my colour 

wheel to choose a suitable colour for the wall which is painted with regular watercolours.

Love the big scripty sentiment.... luckily it fitted in the space 'purr'fectly 😉

I coloured the edges of the card base with Distress Oxide ink then added water with a 

background stamp...... you're left with a fun texture when you soak

 up the moisture with a piece of kitchen towel.

Wildflowers for Mum

I love the look of loose watercolour but I'm not good at freestyle watercolour myself so I was excited to see the new Wildflower Stems Sizzix Thinlets by Tim Holtz... all I had to do was add colour...

I die cut them with Bristol card stock and left the cut pieces in the card whilst I 

added the watercolour... this made it much easier as they are quite delicate.

Whilst they were drying I swooshed pale green paint on the card base and added splatters in pinks, greens and purples. After a bit of faffing I managed to arrange the stems how I liked them and then glued them down..... not adding glue to all areas so the raised edges give a bit of dimension.

I love how this turned out :)

I couldn't resist these Crocs from Heffy Doodle.... just look at those 

facial expressions not to mention the toothy grin!!

You get a few accessory images in the set and I couldn't resist giving this one an 

empty bottle and glass of wine to go with this fun MFT sentiment. 

Here's what the inside of the card says 😂...

Here's another croc from the set... doesn't he look smart in his dickie bow??

He just had to be rushing along with a piece of cake for a special person...

Hmmm.... would you trust that smile? 🤔

Cutting out Cacti

Cacti still seem to be a trend.... not that I make cards to follow trends but I do love cacti!! 

These have been cut out from the Concord & 9th's turnabout set.... once you've

stamped out a 5x5 panel you have a quite a few coordinating images to play with...

I added a few touches of gold to the pots and some background 

stamping for a modern contemporary feel.

I had enough to make a second card too, these are grounded on a frame with

 Lil inkers stamps and dies spelling out the sentiment...

It's good to get another use from the turnabout sets :)

Shining Super Heroes

Here are a couple of Super Heroes.... I think there were a few of those last week

 helping stranded motorists caught in the snow!! Luckily we had

 hardly any snow here so life carried on as normal... phew 😌

Do you like the shining sparkle background? 

Its the new sunshine turnabout from Concord & 9th... I think it looks great

 embossed in white on the blue and the flying stars add the extra zing. 

It's a great set with lots of sentiments to mix and match with other stamps and 

the chunky banner has room for good sized words too.
