I thought I'd do a round up post with a few recent projects in .... in fact I will have to do a part B and possibly C as I have a bit of a back catalogue!!
First up is a quick and simple guys card made using a Hero Arts stencil, I used a white dye ink sponged through the stencil and I love how its turned a shade of light blue on the navy card... the Winnie and Walter sentiment is a great font match too 😊
Whilst I love flowers, I have to say they rarely feature on my cards!! When they do I prefer the stylised or simple layered design like these Wplus9 stamps. I saw a card using these florals that had a layer stamped in black and it looked so striking ... I had to try it too. The sentiment is from a great set by Newtons Nook... I've been looking for a "relatives" set for a while and this has a good mixture of words and fonts 😊
My last project in this post is a gift card I made for our daughter.. this is a gift that grows though 😉
This card contradicts my earlier words because the flowers are more realistic... they took a while to do which is probably why I prefer simple shaped florals!! I've used the no line water-colouring technique with a Concord & 9th stamp set to make Californian poppies for the front panel.... we have loads growing in our gravel driveway and this year we collected some seed to spread in other areas of the garden. I thought I'd give some seed to our daughter who has recently moved out and has her own garden now, so I made, and filled, a small seed packet to go on the inside of the card....
....which brings me nicely back to the beginning of my blog post because now the summer has turned to wet and warm they'd probably germinate quite quickly if planted!!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll pop by with part B soon 😉

A brilliant trio, Jenny ... cool and graphic masculine first card, striking florals with the black layer on the second, and simply gorgeous California poppies on the third (and a lovely gift for your daughter!). Hugs, Anita :)

A match between Hero Arts and W&W made in Heaven... darling card for your 'little' girl... but you've stolen my heart with that no-line coloring AND the seeds? What a wonderful gift from the heart! Gorgeousness growing, even on holiday!

It's wonderful to see you pop in with all these excellent creations, Jenny! I'm delighted to hear that you have California poppies growing on your property and what a thoughtful gift to give some seeds to your daughter for her own garden! This really made me smile and I'm pinning the card!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSweet cards but I love the last one of the Poppies with Seeds. Gorgeous. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers and your gift for your daughter is wonderful.
