A couple of DT cards

Hi there,

We are busy decorating at home in between all the usual running about of day to day life so I'm playing catch-up sharing a couple of DT cards for Seven Hills Crafts blog..

Last week I challenged myself to use a DL card base... not sure why I find them so challenging..it's probably a balance thing and where to place the elements. I went with a guys card and used some unloved stash..

The moustache stencil was my starting point, I just had to use black paste through it and pair it up with the Props dies from Elizabeth Crafts. Of course the scripty font from Concord & 9th looked so at home too :) I love using this alpha set and have you seen C&9th have bought out the uppercase set too?

For this weeks card I used the emboss resist technique to make a shimmery ocean using the balloon string background from MFT....

I've cut along one of the lines and tucked this adorable whale into the sea ... framing him in the circle makes me think we're viewing him through a telescope :)

More details and the list of products I used can be found on the Seven Hills Crafts blog here and here if you are interested :)

Thanks for stopping by

  3. These are both wonderful Jenny, love me a good old DL, they cost the same to post here as an A6, go figure. I don't make them very often either.... maybe I may just try one out again soon, I just made my first square cards in forever the other day too lol. ps good luck with the redecorating, sounds time consuming.
