Hubby is a keen gardener and we have quite a productive allotment at the bottom of the garden too so any stamps like these are always going to catch my eye :0)
Instead of having three tomatoes in a row I tried inking half the stamp and making a wedge of tomato instead. To make a paler colour I made a second generation impression and then googled a photo of a tomato wedge so I could copy the shape and colour right by adding extra distress ink with a paintbrush
For the carrots I had a slight accident where the colour bled so I decided to work with it and go for that look but it's quite tricky to make the colours bleed naturally.... I think I prefer the tomatoes more ;0)
I finished both cards with some Lawn Fawn backdrops patterns and a couple of sentiments from WPlus9.
A few more details can be found on my blog post over at Make the Day Special Stamp store where you can buy the stamps too..... in fact I have a set of three cards using this set in next months Craft Stamper magazine but I'll have to show you those at a later date :)
Stamps used: Stamp your own Salad - Hero Arts; Gingham and Argyle Backdrops - Lawn Fawn; Hand lettered Thanks & Fresh Picked - Wplus9
Thanks for stopping by :)
