Hello y'all :0)
I'm a bit late but... Pinch and a Punch new challenge for the month!!! Yep over at Make the Day Special Stamp Store we have a brand new challenge and we are asking you to try a new technique or re-visit an old technique you haven't tried for a while.... let's see if we can get some new trends going..Lol :0)

I opted for trying something new..... 'no-line' colouring with my Promarkers.... it's a technique I've admired from the sidelines and thought I'd try one day so what better time to do it!!
I chose a small image with not too many colours or details, it was quite tricky as you really notice how the pens bleed outside the stamped line!! This was the second attempt as you can see below... I personally found it better to start with the dark shadows, building up to the lighter areas and adding small hints of texture helps to bring the image to life too :0)
I used Memento Desert Sand to stamp the turtle and the balloons ... taking the black line safety net away was scary!!! Lol.
Well that was fun...something I would try again and perhaps be a little more adventurous with colours too... we'd love you to join in with the challenge, you can check out the details here :0)
Thanks for stopping by

super réussi , elle est adorable, biz
ReplyDeleteSo adorable Jenny. Love the background and coloring of this cute little guy.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty impressive, Jenny! I've tried no-line coloring twice so far and always ended up throwing it away, frustrated.
ReplyDeleteI also found recently that I have better success putting down my shadows first and then blending out into the lighter areas. Don't know why, but it does bleed less for me, too. And my lighter areas stay lighter because I go over them less often.
Oh, this miraculous thing called coloring ;)
Jenny, this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove this technique too Jenny and your colouring is fabulous as always. I find that each image is different - sometimes it works best to start with the darkest colours and work outwards, sometimes it works better to start with lightest colours and add shadows. Don't ask me why! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteCute card, fab colouring.
