Celebrate with a Wonky Cake!!!

Hello there :0)
How about a calorie free birthday cake to tempt you into the new week???...
if only *wink*!!!... it's a bit wonky too but that's on purpose, pretty much like my own Victoria sponges sometimes..hehehe. Actually they're much better since we had a new oven fitted which is LEVEL..quite an important requirement for baking!!!

The square sentiment in Cake and Candles just reminded me of a layered cake so I embossed it on three different colloured cardstocks... did you spy the jam and cream middle :0)
I was inspired by the current sketch over at the AEIHeartU challenge blog so I layered three strips of washi tape to ground my cake and added candles from AE Fill the Blanks stamp set along with stars and confetti :0)

             
Right, all this talk of cake has made me feel quite peckish... shame I haven't any cake in the house, a coffee and biscuit will have to do :0)

Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes Challenge

Hello there :0)

It's everyone's favourite challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks this week.... 'Anything Goes' so let those stamps and dies run free with your imagination...

I've gone bright and simple for my card this week.... remember how you felt when your favourite music tape came out of the cassette player looking like this??? and only a pencil could save it!!! Lol Yep I managed to save a few but not always!!

Anyhow.... I thought the loopy font of this sentiment from Simply Said would fit nicely as an unwound tape so I drew freehand (not the best) to join the ends to one of the cassettes from the Be Boppin stamp set.
Love the bright colours.... only wish I'd had some cassettes like this!!!

Missing your Mug!!!

Good Morning :0)

I'm playing along with a couple of challenges today, it's one layer week

at Less is More and the theme is BEVERAGES and the lovely 

pastel colours are this weeks palette at Colour Me......

 pastels aren't my usual but they seemed to suit mugs!!!

I'm trying to use stamps that have been filed away in my 

stash and never used, this set is from 

There She Goes which sadly, no longer 

exists *sad face*.... and I just love that sentiment :)

The solid mug was stamped first using masks to stack and stagger the images and then I used a stamp-a-majig to add the outline image. I added extra ink using

 a slightly damp paintbrush to add some shading

and a white prisma pencil for highlights.

Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge

Hello, hello :0)
I'm glad you've stopped by.... it's time for a new challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks and we have a photo inspiration for you this week with lots of detail to get your creative minds ticking :0)

The bottle on the right kept catching my eye, the colours are just so striking, not to mention the decorative skull.... I had to go down the Halloween route!!

Having said that, Halloween's not a big thing in our house although we do grow and carve our own pumpkin and this years specimen is a record-breaker in the Mullens veg plot...and it's still growing!!!
I thought the big kid would appreciate a card so I had some ghoulish fun making the ghost from Ghoulfriends  look rather comical with googly eyes ..... along with that spooky laugh, I think he's more suited to an episode of Scooby Do !!!
With a splash of fushia glitter inside the Bam Bubble aperture and some lavender coloured bling (yay for using up older stash *wink*) he's making a spook-tacular entrance!! *groan*

No Butts!!!

Hello there :0)

It's a yummy colour challenge at Less is More this week so I thought I'd grab a crafty moment to take part and get some new stamps into use.

CHOCOLATE MINT are the challenge colours which makes me think of ice cream, but I resisted that urge*wink* and coloured up this fun character instead....

I just love that beard!!! What fun to colour in :0)
He's from a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and there are some good punny sentiments in the set but I had my own in mind which I added using Lawn fawn's Violets ABC's. It's not particularily straight or centred despite measuring and marking guidelines with a pencil!!..... should have stuck with eye-balling it :0)
