Thank Goodness for Purple!!

Hello there :0)
It's been a while since my last post and life has been a little busy with the kiddos at home last week so I didn't get round to playing along at Less is More's humour challenge!! For this weeks challenge we have to reproduce the colour of our front door on our cards and ours is just good old white upvc with the standard black trims but luckily, due to a mix up at the factory, we have a splash of purple in the stained glass effect panels... hence the title of my blog post :0)

Not to miss out on last weeks humour challenge I thought this Acid Drops and Whatnots stamp set would lend itself perfectly to the colours.... I used Inktense watercolour pencils to colour her dress, skin and tea-cup :0)

Here's a tightly cropped shot of the inside of our door to show the colour in the glass.... tightly cropped so you don't see the 'jumble sale' style shoe rack just inside the door.. oh and please ignore the finger marks on the glass too!! Okay so house work is not high on my list of things to do.. Lol :0)

Whilst I'm here I thought I'd share my DT card from the weekend over at Make the Day Special. I've used Wplus9 stamps and dies called Fresh Picked and Pinking Squares which are currently in stock but I wanted to let you know that Louise currently has a page set up for pre-ordering the latest and older Wplus9 stamp sets. The pre-order page will be open until next Tues and can be found here :0)

Thanks for stopping by :0)

  12. Thank goodness you aren't big on housework...me either! I LOVE your front door! And as for the sentiment on the card...my husband would NEVER give that choice because he knows exactly who would lose ;)
The pinked square on the strawberry card is fabulous - love the recessed window - and what exactly is it about gingham & strawberries that makes them so perfect for each other? Love :)
