A Stinkin' One Layer Card!!!
No, no, no..... I really do love the one layer weeks at Less is More... okay perhaps some more than others but this week is a really good one because we have to use a coloured card base other than the usual neutrals. This mean't it was time for the Prisma coloured pencils to put in another appearance and I'm always in the queue when there's colouring to be done :0)
A red base seemed the most natural choice for this little stinker and I just love how he pops off the card... prisma's are just amazing at colouring on darker colours too :0) Both he and the sentiment are from a set called Scent-sational by There She Goes, the sayings in the set are all punny and usable :0)
I had a quick check online to make sure I coloured the correct bits black and white as these little critters aren't native here.. thank goodness :0)
It took longer to take a decent photo of the card than it did to colour him... red is a nightmare to get true to life in a photograph!! I had to use the natural light coming in from the patio doors, which isn't a lot on such a dreary day, instead of the artificial lights round my light tent.
Okay lets get this post up because I've got to get dinner on the go :0)
Hop over and take a look at the gallery at Less is More... it's a piece of art in itself with all the different card blanks on view!!
Thanks for your visit
Jenny x

ReplyDeleteGreat job coloring Jenny!
This is so stinkin' cute! Pun 1000% intended ;) I love your coloring...and his facial expression is adorable. You're lucky to not have these little guys in your area. Their scent is indescribable and not in a good way! lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie and I love the sentiment! Love the effect of Prisma's on the coloured card.

I think the real challenge every week is take a photo to the card...goshh never is like in the real life and when you take photos to acetate or pearlescent paper...it's insane:D:D:D:D.
A warm hug from Palma and have a nice week

Cute image Jenny and the colouring looks quite textured:) Strange how "stinkin'" has a different meaning in the US to ours! I was a bit taken aback when someone commented on one of my cards using that word:)

I'm so taken with this little cutie popping off the card, Jenny, your colouring and shading is awesome! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSo much fun, love it
ReplyDeleteThis has prolly already been said, Jenny, but you should edit your post to change the title to, "A Stinkin' CUTE One Layer Card!" Coz that is what it is - just adorable!!
ReplyDeleteOMG that is the cutest skunk ever :) The prismas are SO vibrant! And I second Barb - you are lucky to not have the real deal. We have one that trundles through our yard now & then and I can't help but fear the day Abby's out there at the same time. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, really, if you didn't say this was a one-layer card I would have thought you stamped and colored him on white, fussy-cut, and put him on the red. I can't believe how well he pops!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave things at the moment is a coloured background... I hope a get a chance to join in, although me thinks they may already have a winner with this gorgeous card Jenny!
ReplyDeleteIt's a charming stamp and your coloring takes it over the top!!
ReplyDeleteAw love your fun card jenny. The prismas and you have done an amazing job at jumpin off that card base. x
ReplyDeleteThat pun is SO 'you' Jenny! Love that you put your little skunk on a red card base and he's beautifully coloured. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteSuch a brilliant card Jenny, I love the little cute stinker and the pun is very funny!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and sharing your thoughts with me! I really appreciate it and I'm getting around to most people soon. It makes me so unhappy when I just don't have the time! It helps to know that most people are on the same wavelength :D Hugs Gay x
Your card is so cute Jenny and I love the red background! No skunks in my part of the world either but I think thats a good thing:) Have a great weekend - hugs xx
